Thank you very much for your response to this ten question survey. The four substantive questions are open-ended because we are looking for candidly supplied information

Attribution is optional. Your answers may be of any length and you may skip questions (except questions four and five) that do not resonate with you. There is a place at the end for your comments.

Survey

The terms “diversity” and “diversify” refer to gender, disability, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, race, religion, status of being foreign-born.

3	Your self-identification as to gender, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, race, or any other identity factor you would like to note (optional)
4	Cumulative number of years you have taught in higher or post/graduate institution/s
5	What do you teach? You are invited to elaborate on the variety of your courses, fields, teaching settings, and student bodies
6	Describe any instances when you have deliberately created or altered a curriculum specifically to diversify it, as to topics covered, persons or works studied, specific knowledge, skills, or behaviors you thought essential to impart, or the nature of your assignments. Please describe (in broad terms) what you added.
7	Describe your motivation or impetus for creating or altering a curriculum with diversity considerations (as described in Question 6). For example, standards or encouragement from your department, program, or institution, your desire to reach or reflect a diverse student body, your desire to alter outcomes for those your students will work with or serve, your personal beliefs, academic considerations, commitments to grant-givers, publishers.
8	Describe any pressures, difficulties, or challenges you have encountered in regard to diversity in curricula you have designed or taught. For example, have your colleagues, department, program, or institution ever placed pressure on you to either add or remove diversity considerations (as described in Question 6) in your curriculum?
9	Describe any positive, negative, or notable outcomes of diversity (as described in Question 6) in your courses.
10	Describe any diversity-related changes you would like to see in curricula that you develop or teach. Do you have views about the value of conscientiously adding diversity to the curriculum? Would you like support in adding diversity to your curriculum? Do you object to any standards that are in place? Do you think there should be more or fewer standards or emphasis in your department or institution, on diversity in the curriculum?
